    Ongoing Outreach

Our goal is to provide ongoing communication to help Pennsylvanians with an autism spectrum disorder participate in their communities in the way that they want to. We are committed to hearing your questions, concerns and suggestions about Autism initiatives.

For the latest information and updates about the Bureau of Autism Services, visit the new Statewide ASERT Resource Center and Website at PAautism.org, where you will find information on:
    • Pennsylvania’s Autism Services, Education, Resources and Training (ASERT) Collaborative
    • Training Opportunities
    • Community resources for educating yourself and others about autism spectrum disorders
    • The Adult Autism Waiver
    • The Adult Community Autism Program, ACAP
This new website offers information about local, regional and statewide events, professional trainings, community resources, services, current research and other information relevant to the autism community.

Outreach specialists are available to attend local and regional conferences, support group meeting and community events.

With a database of information, resource specialists are able to provide up-to-date and accurate information to educate individuals and families about services available, and assist in navigating the service system.

ASERT is a partnership of medical centers, autism reaserch and service centers, universities, community organizations, and other providers of services involved in the treatment and care of adults and children with autism.
