    Juvenile Justice
    Intake/Referral Services

The Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services’ (BJJS) State Court Unit, Court Liaison Program Specialist (CLPS) work closely with Pennsylvania’s county juvenile court system, BJJS’s facilities throughout the Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC) system and private provider agencies to ensure youth are placed in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting.

During a youth’s stay in the YDC/YFC system, the CLPS also serve as liaisons between the YDC/YFC and the county juvenile court system. Referrals may come from several sources including probation officers, social workers, judges, public defenders and/or district attorneys.

For additional information about BJJS’s intake and referral process please call (215) 560-1800.
