Subject: RA BANNER - PROMISe™ PROVIDER INTERNET VIRTUAL CLASSROOM TRAINING – Medical Assistance Pharmacy Benefit Changes
The Department of Public Welfare is pleased to announce a new training option, which utilizes an Internet virtual classroom and allows participants to attend a training class without leaving their office.
A key to the Internet classroom will be provided to participants to view the presentation materials. Participants will also be provided with dial-in information for a conference call line and have an opportunity to ask questions throughout the training session.
The pharmacy benefit package change training session is designed to inform pharmacies and prescribers, including physicians, certified registered nurse practitioners, optometrists, dentists, podiatrists, and certified nurse midwives of limits to the pharmacy benefits for categorically needy adult Medical Assistance recipients, age 21 years and older, which became effective January 3, 2012 and, inform providers of the criteria and procedures to request an exception to the benefit package limits.
The training session will last approximately one and one-half hours and a PowerPoint Presentation will be available in the virtual classroom for download to use during and after the session. Below is a schedule of upcoming Internet Virtual Room training sessions:
